Reflecting its high-altitude origins, this is a darker, deeper and more structured Rioja. On the nose, spiced cherry and blackberry aromas are complicated by Mediterranean herbs and spices. The palate is juicy and supple, nicely focussed and pure, with silky tannins adding support. It finishes with impressive mineral lift and persistence.
